Soaking Prayer

Soaking in the Presence of God, a.k.a. Soaking Prayer, is a communal worship time that involves resting in the presence of the Lord and allowing the Holy Spirit to work in your heart.

It is a time we set aside to quiet ourselves and devote our attention and our hearts to Our Heavenly Father, Our King, Our Sovereign Lord. He so wants to reveal His passionate love for us. The old word for soaking would be "tarrying," thus tarrying with God. To "soak" in God's presence is to rest in His love rather than to "strive" in prayer.

We will play intimate worship music and read scriptures. These sessions are covered in prayer to create a safe place for you to hear from God. You will be prayed for personally, and you may experience healing.

Soaking prayer occurs on the second Friday of each month, lasting from 7pm to 8:30pm in our sanctuary. As you will adopt a pew, bring pillows or a throw to make yourself comfortable as you rest with your Lord and Savior. You may quietly arrive and leave at any time. Come on a date with God.
