Good Sam to Go … NONE in December

Date: January 2, 2017
Time: 7:00 pm

NONE in December – January date and time to be announced

A new way of being together in the community

This month responding to the end of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program Undocumented Immigrants and Sanctuary

This coming Wednesday (November 15th) we will have our monthly Good Sam to go gathering at the Duck Foot Brewing Company (note the new location).  We will meet at 7.00pm for discussion and fellowship.  This is open to all, so if you think you would like to come – then come.   Bring a friend, they don’t have to be members of Good Sam.  Maybe they are someone from work, your neighborhood or someone you met at the gym or dog-park.

Our topic this month is continuing the conversation around sanctuary and the ending of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, which if not replaced, will leave a multitude of undocumented immigrants facing deportation.   What should be our response as Americans and as Christians.   There was a resolution before our diocesan convention last weekend and it generated a lot of debate but eventually passed.  It is a subject which may people are passionate about.   What do you think?  How far are you prepared to go?

Want to join in the conversation? …..then come an join us on Wednesday.

Attached, is a FAQ on Sanctuary, a TIME article on California becoming a sanctuary state and the resolution passed by diocesan convention last weekend.

Hope to see you there.
