Feeding the Homeless – 4th Tuesdays of the Month
Time: 3:00 pm
at St Andrews by the Sea , Pacific Beach
Every 4th Tuesday a team from Good Sam is responsible for the meal served at St Andrews by the Sea, Pacific Beach to 80-100 homeless and poor individuals.
If you have a couple of hours you can give to help prepare and serve the meal on the 4th Tuesday of any month, please contact Jane Davis firstname.lastname@example.org or Kathleen Ide at email@example.com .
We prepare the entrée in the Good Sam kitchen beginning about 3pm then take it to St Andrews (1050 Thomas St, 92109), to serve it, clean up and return.
All volunteers who help prepare and serve food at the weekly Hunger Supper must have a current food handler’s card. Training is now available on line! Previously completed training is valid until the date on the card.
Go to www.StateFoodSafety.com to take the training course. It takes approximately 90 minutes to complete and costs less than $15 dollars.
