Good Sam Book Study

As a follow-on to the Cosmos book study, focused on the vision of Teilhard de Chardin for the future of the universe, a new class led by Rev. Dr. Carol Worthing, focused on The Resurrection,  at 7:15 p.m. in Roetter Hall, room 7, and continues to meet on the 3rd Tuesday of each month.

The recommended book: The Resurrection: Theological and Scientific Assessments, edited by Ted Peters, Robert John Russell, and Michael Welker, is available through Amazon, etc., at about $26.00 (Eerdmans, 2002.).

Like the previous book, each chapter in this new text is written by a different author from a group of theologians and believing scientists, who straightforwardly engage Christian belief in the resurrection, in an ongoing conversation with the insights of   modern science. Along the way, several theories about the resurrection are moved forward, up-dated from earlier formulations. And, unanswered/unanswerable? questions regarding the promised new creation are formulated and explored.
