Funerals and Memorial Services
In the Episcopal Church we call these services a "Celebration of Life". For those who mourn, it reminds them of the life their loved one had on this earth, and the life they are celebrating with the Lord in heaven, joining the community of saints.

There is no charge for this service. If you are a member of a different church, not a member of Good Samaritan, your priest/pastor/minister will need to talk to ours first. If you wish one of our priests to lead the service, you'll need to meet with him/her to discuss the service.

Our memorial garden is for church members and relations to church members only. Rare exceptions to this policy must be approved by the rector.

We have a set of pamphlets available that contains a "what to do" checklist available in our office. If planning your own celebration of life service is your thing, feel free to download our form (link below). You will find included suggested texts and hymns, but these are not by any means required. Often a person's favorite reading or music will be used instead.

The hall is also available for a reception afterward.
