MAKING ARRANGEMENTS WITH THE CHURCH

The family will meet with Good Sam Clergy to discuss the service plans. Good Sam front office staff will design the service program based on input provided. Please provide a photo for use on the cover if desired. The Clergy will contact the following groups:

  • The Flower Guild
  • The Altar Guild
  • The Memorial Guild – for the reception preparation
  • The Chalice Bearers (if needed)

Discuss with the Clergy if the service is with a casket or cremains.

On the day of the service the immediate family is welcome to arrive at any time prior to the start of the service. The family usually gathers in the nursery or the chapel before the service begins.

The Clergy will join the family for a quiet prayer before the service starts.

Good Sam staff and volunteers will be on hand to handle delivery of flowers, encourage guests to sign the guestbook which is provided by Good Sam, and act as ushers.
