People were bringing
little children to Jesus to have him touch them, but the disciples
rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them,
"Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the
kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone
who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never
enter it." And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them
and blessed them.

Sundays are a little different in Fall 2009. Opportunities for your child to learn more about their faith are spread throughout the month as well as on Sundays.
Ages 3-7 Catechesis of the Good Shepherd meets in the classroom by the worship center’s office area. Catechesis programs are based on Montessori
Religious Education and use hands-on, child-centered approaches. Our program addresses the spiritual and developmental ages of the students.
Ages 8-13 Children's Chapel in the Nursery (near the restrooms).
Other opportunities throughout the week include Strive on the 2nd Saturday of each month and two Youth Groups (one for Middle Schoolers and another for High Schoolers) which meet on the 3rd Friday of the month.
If you would like to volunteer as a Sunday School teacher or a “doorperson” (someone who helps the children settle), please contact Kathleen Ide.
