During the month of July Good Sam will be collecting backpacks and school supplies for the Community Christian Service Agency’s (CCSA) Annual Back-to-School Program Good Samaritans and friends are invited to participate in the “Back-to-School” program sponsored by CCSA that provides backpacks and school supplies to children (K-9th grade) from low-income families, who might not otherwise have these essential items for the start of school in the fall.  The Community of Life Committee is working to make this year’s project a meaningful and fun activity for everyone.  Our goal is to assemble 70 backpacks! Beginning on Sunday, June 29th, you may pick up cards at the Back-to-School table to remind you of what specific school supplies you are offering to contribute (i.e. 1 backpack, 5 – 3-ring binders, 4 spiral notebooks, 5 sets of colored pencils, etc.)  You may claim as many cards as you would like, knowing that those named items will be your donation.  Shopping for items should be completed by July 22nd. Donated backpacks and supplies should be delivered to the church no later than Thursday, July 24th A collection box labeled “School Supplies” will be just inside the main entryway to the worship center. The Community Life Committee will prepare an assembly line in Roetter Hall on Friday, July 25th in preparation for the congregation to fill the backpacks on Sunday July 27th. Everyone is invited to fill a backpack while the supply lasts following the Sunday 9:30 AM worship service. Please direct questions to Beth Hannaman at bhannaman@yahoo.com.   Typical items include:
